Pithy sayings - 7

Life is pain, princess. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.

My grandfather once told me that there were two kinds of people: those who do the work and those who take the credit. He told me to try to be in the first group; there was much less competition.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

  1. That last one is a paraphrase of a quote from Albert Einstein: "I want to know how God created this world. I am not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know his thoughts. The rest are details."

  2. Interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks!
